When it comes to penning baseless rumors, it’s endless as the oceans. When Ajith Kumar’s film was titled as ‘ASAL’ and producers were announced to Sivaji Production, an unexpected call popped up. They justly spread a rumor that ‘ASAL’ is nothing but a remake of yesteryear classic thriller ‘Puthiya Paravai’. The film revolves around the protagonist (Sivaji Ganeshan) who’s confused with a womanpossessing the same looks of his wife killed before few years. Well, the title ‘ASAL’ just lead to some unconfirmed conclusions that over here Ajith is wedged between such discombobulations where he cannot find the truth. But Saran has denied stating that it’s a baseless rumor and it’s a film based on international mafia ramification.

Sivaji Productions big budget action adventure Ajit’s Asal, directed by Saran has started its dubbing at Four Frames studio. Producer Ram Kumar wanted the dubbing for the film which is almost 90 percent complete to start on Wednesday (Nov 18), a very auspicious day. The young guns in Sivaji Production producer Ram Kumar and his brother Prabhu’s children- Dushyant and Arjun are in charge of the entire production of Asal. Says Ram Kumar: “These kids are doing great job, precise and professional, they have wrapped up almost the entire shoot on schedule. We are planning to release the film in January.” Once the dubbing finishes, Saran plans to finish the shoot of two songs for the film one to be shot in a foreign location and the other on a set erected in a Chennai studio. It will be Ajit’s biggest ever movie.

It has been said by director Saran itself to a leading magazine, the much awaited Asal has been shaped up well with all action elements mixed with our traditional touch.Known for rendering back-to-back hits in Tamil cinema, Bharadwaj teams with Scotland-based musicians, belonging to the group Y-Kinz. Bharadwaj always deserves the credit for getting the Tamil audience’s pulse right and coming up with musicthat is sure to satisfy Ajith fans. Vairamuthu adds a right pep to the album with his powerful lyrics.Vairamuthu’s lyrics will portray Ajith in a new dimension. The lines go like ‘Kaatril yeariyum nadappan, kattan tharayilum paduppan, Yendha yedirpaiyum jeippaan, Yemanakku tea koduppaan. Sattangalin vealiyai satendru taanduvan. Dharmangalin koodugalai thaandida koosuvaan. Idhu maayamaa, mandhiramaa’.The movie is set to release on 26th of January worldwide. It is worth mention here, this is the first tamil movie to be dubbed and released in Russia simultaneously.

The shooting of Sivaji Productions’ Asal is going on in full swing in Chennai these days. A popular city studio was the venue a few days ago. A dance sequence is being filmed on the lead pair Ajith and Sameera. The dance director is none other than Bollywood biggie Ganesh Acharya.But speak to actor and producer G Prabhu, who is also acting in the film and he reveals, “Ganesh Acharya and Raju Sundaram are the two choreographers for this film. When putting together the crew for this film I met Ganesh’s family personally in Mumbai and I discovered a sweet secret.I was told that Ganesh Acharya at birth was named after my father Sivaji Ganesan because his father was a hardcore fan of the legendary the spian! So Sivaji Ganesan is his real name! But today he is known as Ganesh Acharya!”Who would have dreamt that one day the very same Ganesh Acharya would be part of Sivaji Productions itself, linked to the legend his father was a huge fan of!

Bhavana, who had an impressive debut in Kollywood in Mysskin’s Chithiram Pesudadi went on to do many films with leading heroes in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She was last seen in Jayamkondan with Vinay after which there appears to have been a dry spell in her Kollywood career. This lull has been broken by her current prestigious venture Asal with Ultimate Star Ajith where she plays the leading lady along with Sameera Reddy. However there have been widespread theories that Bhavana is not the actual heroine in Asal and her role is not as meaty as Sameera’s. While clearing the air on this issue, this petite actress said, “People are even wondering how I accepted this role because they think that I am only the second heroine. But it is not so. There are two heroines in the film and I am one of them.” Bhavana further added that she has two duets with Ajith. This should certainly put to rest any ambiguity related to the heroine issue of Asal.
